Agility is one of the most popular and fast-paced dog sports, featuring obstacle courses where dogs and handlers compete against the clock. Here’s what you need to know to award the right ribbons at your agility competitions.

How does agility work?

The dog and handler navigate an obstacle course—jumps, tunnels, slalom, and balance obstacles—in the correct order and as quickly as possible. Classes are often divided by size and difficulty level.

What rosettes do you need?

• Placement rosettes (1st–4th) in each class.
• Title/class rosettes for major awards.
• Participation/certificate rosettes for smaller classes.
