Plastic Tape on a Roll – Compared to Jula, Rusta, Panduro, and Clas Ohlson

Are you looking for plastic tape on a roll and have you already checked out Jula, Rusta, Panduro, or Clas Ohlson? You’re not alone—these are some of the most common places Swedes shop for plastic tape, and for good reason: they’re almost everywhere and usually carry a basic selection. But depending on what you’ll be using the tape for, a more specialized selection can be both cheaper and more convenient. Here, we’ll go over the differences.

What the home improvement stores excel at

Jula, Rusta, Panduro, and Clas Ohlson all have a good basic selection of plastic strapping, usually in a few standard colors like red, yellow, and blue. The advantage is that you can walk into a physical store and walk out with the tape the same day—perfect if you need a single roll for a small project at home, such as setting up a barrier in the garden or a simple craft project with the kids.

The downside is that the selection is rarely tailored to those who need tape in specific colors, in larger quantities, or on a recurring basis season after season—for example, clubs, organizations, and event organizers who purchase plastic tape for competitions and events several times a year.

What a specialized product line offers you

At Prisrosetter.se (part of Monomak, which has been in the industry for nearly 50 years), we’ve built our plastic ribbon assortment specifically for competitions, events, and club activities. In practice, this means:

• More colors — in addition to the standard colors, you’ll often find shades that are harder to find on regular store shelves.
• Better prices for bulk orders — the more rolls you order, the lower the unit price. Perfect for clubs that know they’ll need ribbons every season.
• Delivery to your home or club facility — skip an extra trip to the store. Order online and have the tape delivered right to you.
• Personalized service — as a small, family-owned business, we can help advise you on which color and quantity best suit your specific needs, something you rarely get at a large retail chain.

How to Choose the Right One for Your Needs

Will the tape be used just once, for a small, specific project at home? In that case, your nearest home improvement store is probably the easiest option—you won’t have to wait for delivery and you’ll get exactly the amount you need right now.

If, on the other hand, you plan to order plastic tape regularly—for your club’s competitions, a recurring event, or if you want more color options than what’s available on the shelves at Jula or Rusta—a specialized selection like ours is often both cheaper in the long run and significantly more convenient. You won’t have to search multiple stores for the right color; instead, you can place a single order that will last the entire season.
