Prize Rosette Sizes and Number of Wreaths—What's the Best Choice?
Award Rosette Sizes and Number of Wreaths—What’s the Best Choice?
Choosing the right size for an award rosette is about matching the rosette to the significance of the competition—and sometimes to your budget. Here’s a guide to sizes and the number of wreaths.
Size is primarily determined by the number of wreaths:
- 1 wreath —simple and affordable, good for smaller classes and participation prizes.
- 2 wreaths —the standard choice, often ranging from 24–26 SEK each.
- 3 wreaths —the largest, for finals, championships, BIS, and championship rosettes.
Our Horse Rosettes and Dog Rosettes come in 1, 2, and 3 wreaths in various sizes and ribbon widths.
Ribbon Width and Diameter
Rosettes with wider ribbons and larger diameters are more visible from a distance—important for horses being shown in front of an audience. If in doubt, a medium-sized 2-wreath rosette is a safe choice.
Practical rules of thumb
- Everyday competitions & multiple prizes: 1 wreath or a simple 2-wreath rosette.
- Standard classes: 2 wreaths.
- Finals, titles, BIS: 3 wreaths.
